Description:
The GD32F2 series is a new high-performance enhanced Cortex®-M3 MCU. Building upon the GD32F1 product line, it offers comprehensively enhanced processing capabilities and new peripheral interface resources. It strengthens support for applications such as video/image processing, LCD display, memory expansion, and high-speed signal acquisition, and is equipped with an enhanced hardware encryption module and security architecture.
The GD32F2 series MCUs operate at a maximum clock frequency of 120MHz. To handle the resource overhead of multiple peripherals running simultaneously and embedded software protocol stacks, they are equipped with large-capacity built-in Flash ranging from 256KB to 3072KB and SRAM from 128KB to 256KB. The core accesses flash with high-speed zero wait-states, achieving a working performance of up to 150 DMIPS at the maximum frequency. The code execution efficiency at the same main frequency is 30-40% higher than similar Cortex®-M3 products on the market.
The GD32F2 series MCUs use a 2.6V-3.6V power supply, and their I/O ports are tolerant to 5V levels. They support advanced power management and feature three power-saving modes. When powered by an external battery, the standby current of the built-in high-precision calibratable real-time clock (RTC) during operation is less than 1uA. Two 16-bit advanced timers supporting three-phase PWM complementary output and Hall sensor collection interfaces are available for vector control. The series also includes up to ten 16-bit general-purpose timers, two 16-bit basic timers, and two multi-channel DMA controllers. Peripheral interface resources include up to eight UARTs, three SPIs, three I2Cs, two I2Ss, two CAN 2.0B interfaces, one SDIO interface, and one 10/100M Ethernet controller (MAC). It is also equipped with a USB OTG full-speed interface supporting low-power LPM functionality, providing various transmission modes such as Device, HOST, and OTG.
The GD32F2 series maintains perfect compatibility with existing GD32 products in terms of software and pin packaging, making it an ideal choice for market applications such as industrial control, human-machine interfaces, secure payment, vehicle-mounted equipment, and the Internet of Things.
