Overview: 

The ST08B touch sensor can detect changes in capacitance at the point of sensing using the average capacitance value as a reference. It can sense changes in capacitance through any non-conductive medium, which makes the sensing module more isolated from water and dust. The sensing module is thus well insulated from water and dust. The ST08B has better 

immunity and better consistency than the ST08. The ST08B can be operated in a low power environment with an operating current of 220ua at 5v and a standby current of less than 10ua, and is also suitable for battery applications.
