ADI MAX874ESA Datesheet

The MAX874ESA is a precision 4.096V micropower voltage reference from ADI (formerly Maxim), designed for battery-operated and handheld instruments. It operates with an ultra-low quiescent current of 10µA (max) and requires only 200mV of dropout, making it ideal for low-power systems. The device supports a wide input voltage range from 4.3V to 20V and can source or sink up to 500µA with excellent line and load regulation. It features an initial accuracy of ±0.2% (±8mV) at +25°C and a low temperature drift of 40ppm/°C (max) over the extended temperature range. The MAX874ESA comes in an 8-pin SOIC package (ESA suffix), suitable for precision power supplies, portable instruments, and other voltage reference applications.

General Description:

The MAX872/MAX874 precision 2.5V and 4.096V micropower voltage references consume a maximum of only10µA and operate from supply voltages up to 20V. Thecombination of ultra-low quiescent current and low200mV dropout makes them ideal for battery-poweredequipment. They source and sink up to 500µA with only200mV input voltage headroom, which makes the 2.5VMAX872 ideal for use with a 3V supply and the 4.096VMAX874 ideal for use with a 5V supply.Initial accuracy of 0.2% at +25°C (±5mV for the MAX872,±8mV for the MAX874) and low 40ppm/°C max drift makethese references suitable for a wide range of precisionapplications.
