TI TPSM82821ASILR STOCK

The TPSM82821ASILR is a 1A step-down converter MicroSiP™ power module from Texas Instruments, designed to deliver a compact power solution with high efficiency. This device integrates a synchronous step-down converter and an inductor in a single 2.0mm × 2.5mm × 1.1mm, 10-pin μSiL package, simplifying design and saving PCB area. The "A" version features forced PWM operation, maintaining continuous conduction mode (CCM) across all load currents to minimize output voltage ripple. It operates at a nominal 4MHz switching frequency in PWM mode. The device supports an input voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V and provides an adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to 4V. Utilizing DCS-Control topology, it achieves excellent load transient performance and precise output regulation. Description:

The TPSM8282x device family comprises 1-A, 2-A, and 3-A step-down converter MicroSiP™ power modules optimized for small solution size and high efficiency. The power module integrates a synchronous step-down converter and an inductor to simplify design, reduce external components, and save printed circuit board (PCB) area. The TPSM8282x is available in two versions. The first version automatically enters Power Save Mode to maintain high efficiency during ultra-light load conditions, thereby extending the operating time of the system battery. The second version, TPSM8282xA, enables forced PWM operation to maintain continuous conduction mode (CCM) for all load currents, minimizing the output voltage ripple. In PWM mode, the converter operates at a nominal switching frequency of 4MHz. In Power Save Mode, the device features a typical quiescent current of 4µA. By utilizing the DCS-Control topology, the device achieves excellent load transient performance and precise output voltage regulation. The EN and PG pins of the device support sequencing configurations, enabling flexible system design. The integrated soft-start feature reduces inrush current required from the input supply. Over-temperature protection and hiccup short-circuit protection make the solution robust and reliable.
