The 1N5817 is an axial-lead power Schottky rectifier designed for high-efficiency operation in Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) and high-frequency DC-DC converters. Packaged in the industry-standard DO-41, this device offers very small conduction losses, negligible switching losses, and extremely fast switching performance. With a low forward voltage drop and specified avalanche capability, it is ideally suited for low-voltage, high-frequency inverters, free-wheeling diodes, polarity protection circuits, and small battery chargers.
