Description:
The SN74AXC4T245 is a 4-bit non-inverting bus transceiver that uses two independent configurable power-supply rails. The device operates normally with VCCA and VCCB supply voltages as low as 0.65V. The A port is designed to track VCCA and supports any supply voltage from 0.65V to 3.6V. The B port is designed to track VCCB and also supports any supply voltage from 0.65V to 3.6V. Additionally, the SN74AXC4T245 is compatible with single-supply systems.
The SN74AXC4T245 device is designed for asynchronous communication between data buses. Depending on the logic levels of the direction-control inputs (1DIR and 2DIR), the device transfers data from the A bus to the B bus, or from the B bus to the A bus. The output-enable inputs (1OE and 2OE) can be used to disable the outputs, effectively isolating the buses.
The SN74AXC4T245 device is designed so that the control pins (xDIR and xOE) are referenced to VCCA. To ensure the level translator I/Os are in a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, connect the xOE pins to VCCA through a pullup resistor.
The device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff current. When the device is powered down, the Ioff protection circuitry ensures that no excess current is drawn from or supplied to the inputs, outputs, or combined I/Os biased to a specific voltage.
The VCC isolation feature allows both I/O ports to enter a high-impedance state when either VCCA or VCCB falls below 100mV by disabling their outputs. Glitch-free power sequencing allows the power rails to be turned on or off in any order, providing robust power-sequencing performance.
