Texas Instruments UCC2801DTR Datesheet

The Texas Instruments UCC2801DTR is a high-speed, low-power current-mode Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller from the UCC280x family. It is designed for use in offline and DC/DC fixed-frequency switching power supplies, requiring a minimal number of external components. This device integrates all necessary control and drive circuitry. Key features include an internal full-cycle soft start, internal leading-edge blanking of the current-sense input for noise immunity, and a 1-A totem-pole output stage. The UCC2801DTR is specified with a 50% maximum duty cycle and features a 9.4V/7.4V undervoltage lockout (UVLO) hysteresis, making it suitable for various applications. It is offered in an 8-pin SOIC package and is rated for operation over the industrial temperature range of –40°C to 125°C .

Description:

The UCC280x series of high-speed, low-power integrated circuits contain all the control and drive components required for offline and DC/DC fixed-frequency current-mode switching power supplies, with a minimal number of external components. These devices use the same pin configuration as the UCx84x series and also offer additional features such as internal full-cycle soft start and internal leading-edge blanking of the current-sense input. The UCC280x series provides multiple package options, temperature ranges, maximum duty cycles, and undervoltage lockout threshold levels. Devices such as the UCC2803 and UCC2805, which have lower reference voltages, are particularly suitable for battery-powered systems, while the UCC2802 and UCC2804, with higher reference voltages and wider UVLO hysteresis, are ideal for offline power supply applications. The UCC280x series devices are rated for operation over the temperature range of –40°C to 125°C.
