TI DRV8242SQRHLRQ1 STOCK

The DRV824x-Q1 family from Texas Instruments is a fully integrated H‑bridge driver designed for a wide range of automotive applications, including brushed DC motors and solenoids. These bidirectional full‑bridge drivers support PWM or PH/EN control and are built on a BiCMOS high‑power process, delivering excellent power handling, thermal performance, and robustness in a compact QFN package. The family features scalable RON (250 mΩ typical, LS+HS) with 6A maximum output current, integrated current sensing (eliminating external shunt resistors), and a proportional load current output on the IPROPI pin. Configurable slew rate and spread spectrum clocking help minimize EMI, while automatic dead‑time insertion supports PWM operation up to 25 kHz. Comprehensive protection and diagnostics include open‑load and short‑circuit detection in both on‑ and off‑states, VM voltage monitoring, overcurrent and overtemperature protection, with fault indication via nFAULT and configurable latch or retry r

Description:

The DRV824x-Q1 device family is a fully integrated H‑bridge driver suitable for a wide range of automotive applications. The device is a bidirectional full‑bridge driver with PWM or PH/EN control. Designed on a BiCMOS high‑power process technology node, this monolithic power package family offers excellent power handling and thermal performance with a small package footprint, easy PCB layout, EMI control, accurate current sensing, diagnostic capabilities, and high robustness. The family provides identical pin functions and scalable RON (current capability) to support different loads. The devices integrate an N‑channel H‑bridge, charge pump regulator, high‑side current sensing and regulation, current proportional output, and protection circuits. A low‑power sleep mode is also provided to achieve low quiescent current. The devices offer voltage monitoring and load diagnostics, as well as overcurrent and overtemperature protection. Fault conditions are indicated via the nFAULT pin. The devices are available in three variants – a hardware interface (HW/H) and two SPI interface variants: SPI(P) with an externally supplied logic supply, and SPI(S) with an internally generated logic supply. The SPI interface variants enable more flexible device configuration and fault monitoring.
