The TPS7B81-Q1 is a low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator designed for VIN applications up to 40V. With a typical quiescent current of only 2.7µA at light loads, this device is an excellent choice for powering microcontrollers and CAN/LIN transceivers in standby systems. These devices feature integrated short-circuit and overcurrent protection. The device operates over an ambient temperature range of –40°C to +125°C and a junction temperature range of –40°C to +150°C. Additionally, the device is offered in several thermally conductive packages with different sizes. The compact WSON package offers a wettable-flank option. The TO-252 package also helps sustain operation even when the device dissipates significant heat. These features make the device an ideal power supply for a wide range of battery-connected automotive applications.
