The TM1638 is a dedicated LED display driver control IC featuring an integrated keyboard scan interface. It combines MCU digital interface, data latches, LED high-voltage drivers, and keyboard scanning circuits into a single chip, making it ideal for high-segment display applications such as refrigerators, air conditioners, home theater systems, and other consumer appliances. With a 10-segment × 8-digit display mode, 8×3-bit key scanning, and 8-level dimming control, this device offers flexible display and input management through a simple 3-wire serial interface (CLK, STB, DIO). Built on power CMOS technology with an internal RC oscillator (450KHz ±5%) and power-on reset, the TM1638 is available in a SOP28 package for easy integration into space-conscious designs.
