TI TLC6C5724QDAPRQ1 STOCK

The TLC6C5724-Q1 is an automotive 24-channel constant-current RGB LED driver designed for indicator lights and LCD local-dimming backlighting applications that require multi-channel constant-current driving to achieve consistent intensity and LED color temperature. The device provides up to 50-mA output current set by an external resistor, with a maximum output voltage of 8 V, and its 24 constant-current sink outputs are organized into three color groups: OUTRn, OUTGn, and OUTBn. Output current adjustment includes 7-bit dot correction for each channel (with 2 ranges per output) and 8-bit intensity control for each color group, while an integrated PWM grayscale generator supports per-channel PWM dimming and selectable 12-bit, 10-bit, or 8-bit global grayscale modes. To ensure system-level safety, the device detects a variety of system faults, including LED open/short faults, output GND shorts, adjacent pin shorts, and reference resistor (IREF) open/short faults, and also provides pre-wa

Description

There are automotive applications for indicator lights and LCD local-dimming backlighting. For such applications, most people believe that multi-channel constant-current LED drivers are required. The same intensity and LED color temperature are required to be obtained. To ensure system-level safety, the LED driver must be able to detect faults. The TLC6C5724-Q1 device is an automotive 24-channel constant-current RGB LED driver, and the device can be used to test on the LEDs. The TLC6C5724-Q1 device can provide an output current of up to 50 mA (set by an external resistor). The device has a 7-bit dot correction function with 2 ranges per output. The device also provides 8-bit intensity control for each color group. The intensity of each output can be adjusted through 12-bit, 10-bit, or 8-bit grayscale control. The device's circuitry is capable of detecting various system faults, including LED faults, adjacent pin short-circuit faults, reference resistor faults, and so on. Slew-rate control has 2 adjustable positions to minimize system noise. There is a time interval when the output level changes from one LED group to another. This interval helps reduce inrush current. The SDI and SDO pins allow multiple devices to be cascaded and controlled through a single serial interface.
