STMicroelectronics ST25R3916

The ST25R3916 from STMicroelectronics is a high-performance NFC universal device supporting reader/writer, card emulation, and active/passive peer-to-peer operating modes. It is EMVCo® 3.1a analog and digital compliant and supports multiple RF communication protocols including NFC-A/B (ISO14443A/B) up to 848 kbit/s, NFC-F (FeliCa™) up to 424 kbit/s, NFC-V (ISO15693) up to 53 kb/s, as well as low-level modes for MIFARE Classic® or custom protocols. Key advanced features include Dynamic Power Output (DPO) for field strength control, Active Wave Shaping (AWS) to reduce overshoots and undershoots, Noise Suppression Receiver (NSR) for noisy environments, and Automatic Antenna Tuning (AAT) via variable capacitor. The device also offers integrated EMVCo 3.1a compliant EMD handling, automatic gain control, squelch, adjustable ASK modulation depth (0 to 82%), low-power NFC target modes, AM/PM and I/Q demodulation, and the ability to drive two independent single-ended antennas.
