Both the GD25/55NF series and the GD25NE series are new dual-voltage supply four-channel SPI NOR Flash product series, with a core supply voltage of 1.8V and an IO interface voltage of 1.2V. Among them, GD25/55NF is a high-reliability product series that supports ECC and CRC functions, enhancing reliability and I/O signal integrity. The GD25NE is a low-power product series. Its read power is as low as 6mA at a four-channel @80MHz frequency, and its erase and write currents are as low as 8mA. For the SoC requirement of reducing the core voltage to 1.2V, the GD25/55NF and GD25NE series product solutions can achieve the same voltage communication with the 1.2V SoC. Compared with the conventional 1.8V powered SPI NOR Flash solution, there is no need to add a boost circuit at the SoC end, simplifying the 1.2V SoC circuit design. Moreover, the reduction of IO interface voltage can also save up to 40% of read power consumption. Compared with the conventional 1.2V powered SPI NOR Flash solution, the NF and NE series product solutions can provide higher read performance and faster erase/write time, especially matching application scenarios that require rapid response such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, wearable devices and automotive electronics.
