Description:
The LM2675 series regulators are monolithic integrated DC-DC converter circuits fabricated using LMDMOS process technology. These regulators provide all the active functions of a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving 1A load current with excellent line and load regulation. The devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and an adjustable output version. These regulators require very few external components, are simple and easy to use, and feature patented internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The LM2675 series operates at a switching frequency of 260kHz, allowing the use of smaller filter components than those required by lower-frequency switching regulators. Due to their very high efficiency (> 90%), the heat dissipation requirements can be met solely by the copper traces on the printed circuit board (PCB).
