Description:
This octal buffer and line driver is specifically designed to improve the performance and density of three-state memory address drivers, clock drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters. The SN74HC244 is configured as two 4-bit buffers/drivers with independent output enable (OE) inputs. When OE is low, the device passes non-inverted data from the A inputs to the Y outputs. When OE is high, the outputs are in the high-impedance state.
Features:
• Qualified for automotive applications
• ESD protection exceeds 2000V per MIL-STD-883, Method 3015; exceeds 200V using machine model (C = 200 pF, R = 0)
• Wide operating voltage range of 2V to 6V
• High-current outputs can drive up to 15 LSTTL loads
• Three-state outputs drive bus lines or buffer memory address registers
• Low power consumption, with maximum ICC of 80 µA
• Typical tpd = 11 ns
• Output drive of ±6 mA at 5V
• Low output current, 1 µA maximum
