Description:
The TPS62097-Q1 device is a synchronous step-down converter optimized for high-efficiency and noise-critical applications. This device is primarily intended for high-efficiency conversion over a wide output current range. From medium to heavy loads, the converter operates in PWM mode and automatically enters power-save mode at light loads. The switching frequency can be selected in the range from 1.5MHz to 2.5MHz using an external resistor. iDCS-Control enables low-noise operation at a constant switching frequency in forced PWM mode. To address system power rail requirements, the internal compensation circuit supports the use of a wide variety of external output capacitors with capacitance values higher than 150µF. To control inrush current during startup, the device provides a programmable soft-start function via an external capacitor connected to the SS/TR pin. The SS/TR pin can also be used in a voltage tracking configuration.
