Description:
The DRV8329-Q1 family of devices are integrated gate drivers for three-phase applications. The devices feature three half-bridge gate drivers, each capable of driving high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs. The device uses an internal charge pump to generate the appropriate gate drive voltage and uses bootstrap circuits to enhance the high-side MOSFETs. The device features a trickle charge pump that supports 100% duty cycle. This gate drive architecture supports peak gate drive currents up to 1A source and 2A sink. The DRV8329-Q1 is powered by a single power supply and supports a wide input power supply voltage range from 4.5V to 60V. 6x and 3x PWM modes simplify the connection to the controller circuit. The device features an integrated precision 3.3V LDO, which can be used to power an external controller and as a reference voltage for the CSA. The device's configuration settings can be configured through hardware (H/W) pins. The DRV8329-Q1 device integrates a low-side current sense amplifier that enables current sensing on all three phases of the driver stage for current summing. The device provides a low-power sleep mode, achieving low quiescent current by shutting down most internal circuits. The device offers internal protection features for undervoltage lockout, GVDD fault, MOSFET overcurrent, MOSFET short circuit, and thermal conditions. Fault conditions are indicated on the nFAULT pin.
