The TAS6422-Q1 device is a 2-channel digital-input Class-D audio amplifier designed for automotive head units and external amplifier modules. Under a 14.4V supply voltage, with a 4Ω load and 10% THD+N, the device can deliver 27W of output power across 2 channels; with a 2Ω load and 10% THD+N, it can deliver 45W of output power. Under a 25V supply voltage, with a 4Ω load and 10% THD+N, the device can deliver 75W of output power. Compared with traditional linear amplifier solutions, Class-D topology technology significantly improves device efficiency. The output switching frequency can be set either above the AM band to eliminate AM band interference and reduce output filtering requirements and cost, or below the AM band to optimize device efficiency. The wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 26.4V helps minimize audio distortion in start-stop applications.
