TI TPS62140RGTR STOCK

The TPS62140RGTR from Texas Instruments is a high‑efficiency, easy‑to‑use synchronous step‑down DC/DC converter optimized for high power density applications. Operating from an input voltage range of 3V to 17V, this device delivers up to 2A of continuous output current with an adjustable output from 0.9V to 6V, making it ideal for systems powered by lithium‑ion batteries, multi‑cell battery packs, or standard 12V intermediate power rails. The device features DCS‑Control™ topology with a typical switching frequency of 2.5MHz, enabling the use of small inductors while providing fast transient response. It supports programmable soft‑start and tracking via the SS pin, power sequencing through EN and PG pins, and seamless transition into power‑save mode under light‑load conditions to maintain high efficiency across the entire load range, with typical quiescent current of only 17µA. Additional features include 100% duty‑cycle mode, short‑circuit and thermal protection, and pin‑to‑pin compati

Description:

The TPS6214x is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter optimized for high power density applications. The device features a typical switching frequency of up to 2.5MHz, allowing the use of small inductors, while DCS-Control™ topology technology provides fast transient response. With a wide operating input voltage range of 3V to 17V, the device is ideal for systems powered by lithium-ion or other battery types, as well as 12V intermediate power rails. The output voltage ranges from 0.9V to 6V, supporting continuous output currents up to 2A (with 100% duty-cycle mode). The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin, allowing the device to operate as a standalone power supply or in a tracking configuration. Power sequencing is also possible via the configurable Enable (EN) and open-drain Power Good (PG) pins. In power-save mode, the device draws a quiescent current of approximately 17µA (depending on VIN). Under light-load conditions, the device automatically and seamlessly enters power-save mode, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the device is turned off with a current consumption of less than 2µA. The device is available in both adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, housed in a 3mm × 3mm (RGT) 16-pin Very Thin Quad Flat No-Lead (VQFN) package.
