Description:


The LMQ61460-Q1 is a high-performance DC/DC synchronous buck converter with an integrated bypass capacitor. The device features integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs capable of delivering up to 6A of output current over a wide input voltage range of 3.0V to 36V, with 42V tolerance and support for 400ms load dump. The device soft-recovers from dropout, eliminating output overshoot. The LMQ61460-Q1 incorporates MINT 2 (Minimized Interference and Noise Technology 2) to enable fast and easy low-EMI design. The device features pseudo-random spread spectrum, integrated bypass capacitors, adjustable SW node rise time, and low EMI, all in a VQFN-HR package with low switch-node ringing and optimized pinout for ease of use. The switching frequency can be synchronized from 200kHz to 2.2MHz to avoid noise-sensitive frequency bands. Additionally, the frequency can be selected to improve efficiency at lower operating frequencies or reduce design size at higher operating frequencies. Auto mode enables frequency foldback during light-load operation, achieving only 7µA (typical) no-load current consumption and high light-load efficiency. Seamless transition between PWM and PFM modes, combined with ultra-low MOSFET on-resistance and an external bias input, ensures excellent efficiency across the entire load range.
