The TXS0102-Q1 device connects an incompatiblelogic communication from chip-to-chip due to voltagemismatch. This auto-direction translator can beconveniently used to bridge the gap without theneed of direction control from the host. Each channelcan be mixed and matched with different outputtypes (open-drain or push-pull) and mixed data flows(transmit or receive) without intervention from thehost. This 2-bit noninverting translator uses twoseparate configurable power-supply rails. The A andB ports are designed to track VCCA and VCCBrespectively. The VCCB pin accepts any supply voltagefrom 2.3V to 5.5V while the VCCA pin accepts anysupply voltage from 1.65V to 3.6V such that VCCA isless than or equal to VCCB. This tracking allows forlow-voltage bidirectional translation between any ofthe 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes.When the output-enable (OE) input is low, all outputsare placed in the high-impedance state.The TXS0102-Q1 device is designed so that the OEinput circuit is supplied by VCCA.To put the device in the high-impedance state duringpower up or power down, the OE pin must be tiedto the GND pin through a pulldown resistor; theminimum value of the resistor is determined by thecurrent-sourcing capability of the driver.
